Challenge

Refresh an annual giving campaigns to strengthen emotional resonance and donor engagement.

Approach

Used design thinking to uncover audience motivations and craft a visual story around “Surviving vs. Thriving.” Art-directed photography, developed campaign concepts, and integrated CSU’s new “Find Your Energy” brand language across touchpoints.

Impact

Raised nearly $96K for food-insecure students through 1,331 donors — earning a Gold CASE District VI and Circle of Excellence Awards. The creative strategy now serves as a model for future campaigns.
